Family Portraits and Reunion

Family is something important to me, as a father of 4 grown children and an extended family growing throughout the US, I value the connection to my family more then ever. Family is more then blood, it's about relationships and how they grow and intermingle over time and through life trials and joys.

I was honored to have the opportunity to capture this gathering of family and friends that have come together for this one weekend to celebrate their care and love fr each other.

The family reunion took place at the DoubleTree Hotel in RTP (Research Triangle Park, Durham, NC)

Here are  a few highlights from this past weekends reunion.

My Sony a7 iii continues to impress me, this week I added a new lens to the family. The Sony 85mm GM arrived a few days before the event and it did not disappoint me! A very sharp and fast lens with a beautiful dn natural looking bokeh. The 85mm lens is lighter then it looks and well balanced on the a7 iii even without the battery grip. I am looking forward to many portraits sessions with this new addition. My only surprise was the minimum focus distance was not as short as I expected. Not really a big deal, just unexpected.
