This past Sunday I had the pleasure of being a part of the MyShadi Wedding Expo at the Marriott at Crabtree in Raleigh, NC. To say I love shooting Indian Weddings would be an understatement. The combination of the rich culture, traditions and amazing color make Indian Weddings my favorite weddings to photograph. Where else does the groom ride in on an elephant, or when do the family of the bride get to chase the groom around, tackle him and steal his shoes right before he walks down the aisle?
The day started early with doors opening at 6am Sunday Morning. I loaded in all my gear for the show and the runway shoot and then I met up with Liz Perniciaro. Liz is the owner of Wedding Hair by Liz and she took control of all the needs of the models for hair and makeup services. She and her staff are masters at making time bend to her will when 12 models need to get ready in record time.
The Runway show attire was furnished by Banjara Indian Boutique. Beautiful, Stunning, Gorgeous are just a few words I’d use to describe our models dresses.
Soft and subtle Tans to Bold and Luxurious Burgundy and Beep Blues, every outfit was simple amazing.
The MyShadi Bridal Expo is Hosted by Desh-Videsh Magazine. The event was organized by Dipti Patel of “D the Event Planner”.
